A number of months ago, I posted a video by a guy named Phil Vischer who walked through the history of race issues in America. I thought it was clear, objective and informative and I’ll post a link to the original video in the comments. A few days ago, Phil posted a follow-up video to address the 4 most asked questions he received from people who watched that first video and I’d love us to share some thoughts and ideas about the 4 aspects of race in America he addresses in his second video below:
(1) What about the black family? Too many black families have no fathers, why didn’t you talk about that?
(2) What about the welfare state? Didn’t the welfare programs of the 1960's do serious damage to black communities?
(3) Why do you say “we” did this? I didn’t do any of this stuff?
(4) Beyond caring, what can we actually DO?
I’ve set the video below to begin at his discussion about question (4), but that in no way means I didn’t find his discussion of the first three...
Facebook allows kittens, but not info on their competitors. I can share other posts from my blog, but not this one, even after using their "linter" to fix the problem.
(I added the word kittens to my facebook post on purpose. and the filename of the attached image has the word kitten in it.)
kitten. kittens. #kittensoffacebook
